Written Directives

The Hatfield Police Department is committed to both gaining and maintaining the trust of our residents and the public in general. With the release of our written directives, we want to share with you the rules that we operate under on a daily basis. Our directives remain current and they follow the best practices in the field under the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission. This is a living document and it is subject to change. Best practice is to allow for change, we have to be at the ready to accommodate societal and situational changes in order to best serve the public.

You will see that some sections display, REDACTED FOR PROCEDURAL SENSITIVITY. These sections are areas of sensitivity that could impact the safety of the public and officers alike. Other than those sections, you are now able to read exactly what is issued to each Hatfield officer. Directives are set and accountability to those directives is in place.
